On this episode…

Simba opened up about his upbringing and how he found his way to Sydney. And while his family didn’t have a lot of money, he explains that as a child he didn’t see it that way. He dealt with his fair share of tragedy, but what stayed with him was his parents’ example in building a business and in pushing their kids to get the education they themselves missed out on.

Today Simba is Chief Research Officer at Brightlight Impact Advisors, the firm’s at the forefront of helping investors of all shapes and sizes to understand how they can invest funds to earn risk adjusted returns, while also having a positive social and environmental impact.

My key takeaway this week…

Nobody wants to receive charity, instead, we want to help ourselves. Helping to build businesses is far more sustainable than giving handouts.
